Penitrax is a combination of extended-spectrum penicillin Piperacillin and the β-lactamase inhibitor Tazobactam. Penitrax (Piperacillin/Tazobactam) is time tested, well documented and FDA approved antibiotic to treat moderate, severe to life threading infections. Penitrax is currently only imported Piperacillin/Tazobactam antibiotic in Pakistan after Tazocin. Penitrax (Piperacillin/Tazobactam) is manufactured at GMP & GSP certified advanced technology plant.

Indications:

Nosocomial pneumonia, COPD, urinary tract infections, surgical site infections, Intra abdominal infections like cholycystitis , peritonitis, SSTIs Diabetic Foot Infections, Hip Surgery, Wound Infections, Burn wound complications, Bacterial Sepsis, Febrile Neutropenia, Gynecological Infections and Pediatric Nosocomial Infections

Dosage Guidelines:

Adults and children over 12 year and older: In general, the recommended total daily dosage is 12 g Piperacillin/1.5 gm Tazobactam given in divided doses (i.e. 4.5 gm every 8 hrs or 3.375 every 6 hrs) administered intravenously typically over 30 min. Dose as high as 18 g piperacillin/2.25 g Tazobactam per day in divided doses can be used in severe infections. It can also be administered by Extend infusion or continuous infusion over four hours.

Penitrax (Piperacillin/Tazobactam) is available in three strengths 2.25 gm, 3.375 gm and 4.5 gm in pack of single vial presented in stylish Tray.
