Infu-Mox (Moxifloxacin HCL) IV is a fourth generation fluoroquinolone antibacterial agent. Infu-Mox (Moxifloxacin HCL) antibacterial spectrum includes Gram +ve, enteric Gram-(-) rods, aerobes, anaerobes and atypical organisms. It differs from earlier antibacterial of the fluoroquinolone class such as Levofloxacin and Ciprofloxacin in having greater activity against Gram-(+) bacteria and anaerobes. Because of its potent activity against the common respiratory pathogen Streptococcus pneumoniae, it is considered a "respiratory quinolone."
Infu-Mox (Moxifloxacin Hcl) IV is indicated for the treatment of Community Acquired Pneumonia (CAP), Acute Exacerbation of Chronic Bronchitis (AECB), Skin and Skin Structure Infections (SSSIs), Diabetic Foot Infections and Intra-Abdominal Infections (IAIs).
The recommend dosage of Infu-Mox (Moxifloxacin Hcl) is 400 mg/250 ml once daily.
Infu-Mox (Moxifloxacin HCL) is available in ready-to-use 250 mL (containing 400 mg of Moxifloxacin) flexibags for IV usage.
